Have you ever noticed those people who stand around at parties,
making bold political or philosophical claims, for no particular
reason? Usually, if you ask one of these individuals what their
reasoning is, they get offended. They have no idea why they believe
whatever it was, and they don't want you to question their
opinions.
I like meeting people who can back up their assertions... people
with whom I can have a friendly debate, rather than a heated
argument... people who have open minds, such that they might even
change their opinion as a result of our convesation, and not be
offended if we disagree. |
